We are excited to begin our search for a Digital Communications Intern! The internship will be for the Fall 2025 – Spring 2026 academic year. Ideal candidates will help to coordinate and facilitate our efforts to spread the mission and branding Interfaith Photovoice through social media, newsletters, and more. A variety of other work may be decided according to organizational needs and the intern’s own interests and strengths.

Internship Overview
The work of Interfaith Photovoice uses photos to give voice to religiously/spiritually diverse people and issues. Your work will help increase awareness of our unique approach to interfaith and intergroup dialogue by amplifying voices that need to be heard. A priority will be given to applicants with experiences in video and audio production.
Interns will work approximately 10 hours a week (depending on their university’s internship requirements and credit hours).
Purpose
You'll help communicate, amplify, and spread Interfaith Photovoice's mission to use photography to help more people embrace religious and spiritual diversity as an asset. Your role will be to help us share our core belief — that religious pluralism can be a strength and not a weakness — with our partners, our growing audience, and those we don’t yet know.

Our work: we use a variety of topical photovoice workshops, trainings, and project opportunities to help communities to transform their worlds.
Our impact: tell stories about the heroes of our work — those individuals and communities who are using photovoice to make the world a better and more inclusive place.
Responsibilities and Duties
Maintain daily posting schedule on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
Production and editing of short form video content.
The writing and editing of blog posts.
Develop original social media content that corresponds with and advances organizational goals.
Track and make strategy adjustments to data from social media.
Create graphics and other visual content.
Participation in monthly Zoom photovoice workshops.
The candidate should be able to work 3-4 hours per credit hour a week and will have a weekly 1 hour check-in with their supervisor.
Preferred Qualifications
3.5 GPA in major field of study
Video and audio production experience
Basic understanding of Search Engine Optimization
Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Strong writing and editing skills
Willingness and ability to network and create new relationships on own initiative
Highly organized and effective teamwork skills
Familiarity with world religions
This internship is unpaid.
